Hello! I’m doing a project on greece and I have searched already their popular music but I have yet to find any results. Does anyone know any popular/mainstream greek artists and the type of genres they play over there more frequently? Like their version of mainstream music. EX: America has all this hip-hop, rap, r&b, dubstep music with chris brown, LMFAO, rihanna, etc. EX2: Korea has kpop and they artists such as big bang, SHINee, Super junior, SNSD, etc.

well, the last years the music has changed in greece.. the new generation is keen on pop, r’n'b and hiphop (greek hiphop is soooo bad!) EXAMPLES: eleni foureira, nikos ganos(nicko), going through, despina vandi, sakis rouvas etc
there are also people who still enjoy listening folk musik (EX:efi thodi) and greek-oriental (something like turkish music) (EX:vassilis karas, nikos terzis, gonidis, paola, pantazis, angela dimitriou)

I’m living in Thailand, and I could only find Kpop groups like SNSD, 2PM, Super Junior, 2NE1, Miss A, ShiNee, Wonder Girls, F(x),CnBlue and so on… (and I got to like them :l but i want to be biased to Jmusic! :((((((( ) but I couldnt find any japanese songs… I got to know Kpop here because of the music videos turned on in Department stores like Siam Paragon, Central World, Laemtong, Central Festival,etc… also in Indonesia and Philippines …
Since I am Japanese, I want to listen to J music in public shopping malls D;
Why are Japanese songs so UNpopular in foreign countries???????
it makes me sad…. :’(

Seriously I am filipino i find this racist korean hates south asian with brown skin.
and I like koreans but they don’t respect our culture..Like SNSD they try to act like japanese and they even go to japan and try to talk japanese expression and T-ara ,Kara and Rainbow too ….
all korean speak Japanese. and they use japanes product.
My most fav group is 2ne1 and Sistar they dont act japanese at all , I like real korean culture i dont like korean who act japanese .
and this Korean actress mocked out accents!!!…
but i still listen to kpop and jpop
and im not really jealous of korean who likes japanese stuff..
but i find it annoying that korean try to act cute japanese.

most Koreans don’t like Japanese, i’m Korean.
if you know our history, and they’re still faking history in their history-textbooks like they did nothing.
also you know there’s this conflict over a small island called ‘Dokdo’??? they’re claiming it is their territory while it is obviously ours.
and kpop starts aren’t acting Japanese, why do you think so???
they go to Japan to perform it’s because Japan is a big market for music.
and most of us use our products like SAMSUNG or LG
these days, even Korean products are more popular than Japanese ones even in abroad, like in the US.
Sony is not making profits at all because of Samsung.

though Japanese is popular for second language subject, it is only a minority and most cannot even speak.
and these days Chinese langauge got much more popular with the rise of China.

it’s true most Koreans are not that intererested in the country but i guess they’re not that interested in Japan and China as well.
on the other hand, many Koreans go to Philliphines because they use English as a main language but is a lot more cheaper than studying in AU, UK, Canada and the USA.

I mean is there any jpop that has r&b influences? Kind of like Super Junior, teentop, ukiss . I’ve listened to a lot of jpop but somehow their voices seem whiny and the music reminds me of the 1990s. I’ve been trying to learn Japanese so I’m looking for good music.

They need to be a reunited as best friends! I loved them on Invincible Youth. Their vocals have both really improved. Miryo’s song featuring Sunny was so surprising because I didn’t know Sunny could sing!! Hyomin has a lot of control even when she goes really high. I think she is a better vocalist than she is a rapper.
I personally wouldn’t make this band though, because T-ARA wouldn’t be the same without Hyomin and SNSD wouldn’t be the same without Sunny. :(

I talked to my facebook friend about them and I asked her has she met any them before. here’s our conversation:
Me: have you met any kpop stars?
fb friend:it doesn’t matter. they’re just people. if you treat them like they’re different, then you’ll never get close to them. getting to know someone because they’re hot, can sing, are famous, are ALL terrible reasons to get to know someone. whether they be pop idols or not. they’re just people and should be treated that way.
Me: ill treat them nicely, i won’t be mean to them

yesung and junsu have natural talent for what they do. thus, i respect them.

SHINee don’t even speak English. the shows they were on where they were singing in english and speaking english on Star Golden Bell except for Kibum. its all scripted. KIBUM speaks perfect and has a strong influency in English. NOT JINKI. so, what do u guys think?

I’m a filipina and I have a sort of tanned skin tone-ish.I really love Japanese/Korean skin colour, and I have been trying to get mine like theirs. I put on sunblock before I go outside, I try out different skin lightening lotions, I bought this Lux Whitening liquid soap and it still isn’t really effecting any part of my body.
Does anyone know an effective way to lighten my skin? I don’t want it to be exactly like Korean or Japanese skin colour, I just want it to be a bit lighter…Is there any home remedies? I don’t want to buy expensive (or cheap…) products that include dangerous chemicals in it. And I don’t want to get any plastic surgery, or do any medical whatchimacall doctor-person-whatevs just to change my skin tone.

Dear Lara,
You cannot achieve that much fairness by using any chemical products, but can get only through plastic surgery. As you said that you don’t like having plastic surgery, I suggest you use natural products than Chemical creams / soaps which just bleaches your skin, which will damage your skin on a longer run.
Instead use naturally available products to lighten your skin color. But you should have little patience as this natural products works slowly but are effective.
I came across a website where they have mentioned several beauty tips, and natural skin whitening methods, which has worked well on me and my friends. I hope this will help you out on a achieve your goal. All the best.

i like this guy, he’s a self proclaimed otaku. so i wanna know their type
do they prefer the girl being an otaku too? someone that shares same interest? or do they like the opposite of it?
he told me he likes my eyes and that i look like a japanese (but i’m not. i’m chinese)
and he also said he likes my hair and he prefers long hair w/ bangs
he has the biggest crush on Izumi Sakai (a japanese singer)
obviously I THINK i’ve got some of his preferences.. but we have absolutely nothing in common and he knows that i hate anime and jpop/kpop music yet he forces me to watch anime, read manga and listen to his fave jpop songs and i do it. i don’t mean to be delusional but i think he likes me too
but something bad happened.. ever since i got really into the reading manga and watching anime and listening to jpop..i always talk to him about it and i notice that since then he doesn’t talk to me much anymore..compared to before when i used to tell him how boring and how lame the manga is..

Oh god. That’s a terrible insult. If he really is a self proclaimed otaku then that means all his time is towards his hobby. He rarely leaves his room. And he mooches off his parents for money. They are the leeches of society by spending every waking moment involved in their hobby. At which point real anime otakus only like 2D girls. They honestly, really do dislike 3D (human) girls. I am not shitting you. You can look this stuff up yourself.
